Q-Switched Laser Skin Rejuvenation

Q-Switched Nd:YAG Lasers are safe for all skin tones can target various skin issues, such as pigmentation (including freckles, sun spots, melasma), stimulate collagen, reduce scarring, refine pores, and provide an overall rejuvenation to the skin. The laser creates micro-injuries with heat in the dermal layer of the skin. This results in the production of collagen and elastin. While results are often noticed immediately, continued improvement in signs of ageing and even complexion follow in the weeks and months after treatment. A course of treatments is recommended for the best results.

  • Properly preparing your skin for a Q-Switched laser facial helps ensure that you achieve the best possible results with minimal risk.

    • Do Not Use Topical Vitamin C: For 3-5 days before your session, refrain from using skincare products with Vitamin C, as they can make the skin more sensitive to the laser.

    • Avoid Exfoliating and Harsh Skincare Products: For 3 days prior to your treatment, avoid using products with retinoids, alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs), beta hydroxy acids (BHAs), or any exfoliating treatments. These products can increase skin sensitivity and may cause irritation when combined with the laser.

    • Avoid Sun Exposure: Avoid direct sunlight for at least 2 weeks before the treatment. Sunburned or recently tanned skin is more sensitive to laser energy, which can increase the risk of pigmentation issues or irritation.
